2024 Art Hennig Avon Memorial Day Tournament Announcement

THE AVON SOCCER CLUB is pleased to announce it's 34th Annual Memorial Day Soccer Tournament. On behalf of our membership, we invite your club or association to apply for entrance to our 2024 tournament.

GENERAL:  This boys and girls tournament is sanctioned by the CJSA and the age groupings for the tournament follow CJSA rules. The following ages are included and may be combined depending upon registrations:

U9 (2015), U10 (2014), U11 (2013), U12 (2012), U13 (2011), U14 (2010), U15 (2009), U16 (2008)

U9/U10 will play 7v7 and will be non-results oriented. Teams in the U11/U12 age groups will play 9v9 and those in the U13 and above will play 11v11. U11+ competitions will be results oriented.

WHERE: Fisher Meadows - 800 Old Farms Road, Avon, CT 06001.

WHEN: Competition will begin on Saturday, May 25, 2024, and will conclude on Sunday, May 26, 2024 (in the event of rain, we will play on Monday, May 27, 2024).

WHAT: All efforts will be made to have each participating team play 5 games in a round robin format. Winners and runners up will receive individual trophies, in age groups U11 – U16. Participation medals will be given for all players on U9 & U10 teams. All players will receive a tournament patch. Team patches will be exchanged after each game.

WHO: Applications are welcome from classic/travel teams that are duly registered with their State, Provincial or National Association.  No premier or club teams will be accepted.

U9 & U10 rosters shall consist of no more than 16 players, U11 & U12 rosters shall consist of no more than 18 players. U13 to U16 rosters shall consist of no more than 22 players.  Proof of age may be verified by US Youth player pass or State or National Association. Please note that if required by your state or region, a permission to travel form will be required to participate.

No guest players allowed.

FEES:  

Fees Early Bird - $625 for Applications dated before April 1st

Regular Price - $645 for Applications dated April 1st to May 1st
